Alleged Network IntrusionClient: Defendant

Case Summary: Red's client was accused of facilitating a network intrusion, intellectual property theft, and causing damage to Plaintiff's systems.

Meticulous analysis of Plaintiff’s systems revealed that not only had Red’s client not intruded on Plaintiff’s systems, but that no intrusion had taken place at all. Analysis was made more difficult by the fact that Plaintiff had failed to properly preserve the evidence and then further fouled the evidence by attempting an amateur investigation of the computers involved. We overcame the challenges of difficult evidence and the age-old conundrum of proving a negative through innovative analysis and judge-friendly reporting. Red’s client won a dismissal through summary judgment.
